IWIM welcomes mHUB and the Institute of Asset Management as supporting partners

SCHAUMBURG, IL/September 12, 2019: Influential Women in Manufacturing (IWIM) is proud to announce the addition of two new supporting partners: mHUB, based in Chicago, and the Institute of Asset Management (IAM), with global headquarters in Bristol, U.K.

As supporting partners, mHUB and the IAM are engaging with IWIM in its mission to “amplify + connect” – to share and elevate the stories of women who are driving change in manufacturing and industrial production + facilitate connections among individuals and organizations committed to fostering diversity and inclusion at all levels of industry.

Chicago-based mHUB, founded in 2016, is the country’s largest and fastest-growing innovation center focused on physical product development and manufacturing. “mHUB exists to ensure that the Midwestern manufacturing industry continues to accelerate, grow and thrive,” the center notes on its website.

The IAM, which has U.S. headquarters in New York, is the international professional body for asset management professionals. The IAM develops asset management knowledge and best practices and generates awareness of the benefits of the asset management discipline for individuals, organizations and the wider society. Founded in 1994, the IAM has more than 2,700 members.

IWIM, mHUB and the IAM all are proud to be celebrating women in manufacturing this October in Chicago as part of programming surrounding Manufacturing Day (Friday, Oct. 4).

  • As part of the IAM 2019 North American Conference, taking place Oct. 1–3 at the University of Chicago’s Gleacher Center, the IAM will host the North American launch of Women in Asset Management at an evening social event Thursday, Oct. 3, at the Intercontinental Chicago.
  • Influential Women in Manufacturing will host the 2019 IWIM Awards Luncheon on Friday, Oct. 4, at digital manufacturing institute MxD in Chicago. Members of industry as well as local educators and workforce development professionals are encouraged to attend the event, which is open to the public. Registration is available through Sept. 26.
  • mHUB will host its second annual Women in Manufacturing and Engineering Day at mHUB headquarters on Tuesday, Oct. 8. The free and open-to-the-public event will convene women making a tremendous impact in the manufacturing industry, and empower young women interested in STEM fields to discover new career paths and support their growth in these fields.
